How we work

Our Four-Step process has been established to ensure the best fit between the school, parents and learners in order to provide the best possible educational solution for our special needs children.

01

Information Session

Parents and guardians are invited to an informative session at SOWLE Centre. Here, they'll share background information about the learner. They'll also learn about our curriculum and nurturing environment.

02

Two-Day Assessment

The learner spends at least two days at our facility, fully integrated into the classroom. The Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist and Teacher conduct broad-based assessments (no written report) at a minimal cost of R600.

03

Feedback Session

Parents receive feedback as to SOWLE Centre's suitability for the unique child. If it is, we move forward with the enrollment process together. If not, we kindly offer support and suggestions for alternative options that may better suit their needs.

04

Enrollment

Upon confirmation, the formal enrollment process begins. We work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition into the SOWLE Centre family.

On-Site Therapies

At SOWLE Centre, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy are fully integrated into the school day from Monday to Thursday. These therapies are part of each learner’s daily timetable and form an important part of the curriculum. Small-group therapy sessions are included in the school fees. This provides two major benefits: firstly, parents don’t need to juggle extra therapy appointments after school, which saves time and reduces stress. Secondly, by having therapy happen on-site, we create a strong, multi-disciplinary team that works together to support each child’s unique development in a consistent and caring way

Extra-Mural activities we offer

Entry Requirements

We consider the following criteria when evaluating learners for enrollment at SOWLE Centre:

Extra-mural activities

We believe in offering a well-rounded educational experience, which includes a variety of extramural activities. From sports and arts to music and drama, our extramural programs provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build confidence outside of the classroom. Through these activities, students can foster friendships, enhance their creativity, and cultivate a love for lifelong learning.
